Kelly Jay Stephens

Kelly was introduced to music at 4 years of age and by the time he was twelve, he was playing guitar and keyboards professionally in local nightclubs. By the age of seventeen, Kelly’s performing and arranging abilities gained him an invitation to be an understudy in the Frank Sinatra Quintet. Kelly’s versatility in playing various styles of music such as Rock, Blues and Pop has allowed him to share the same stage with Huey Lewis and the news, The Pretenders, The Knack, the Motels, B.B. King, Greg Kihn, America and Oingo Boingo.

In the Country arena, Kelly has performed at the Grand Ole Opry and also shared the stage with artists such as Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Garth Brooks, Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings and Roger Miller to name a few. In 1990 and 1991 Kelly was awarded “Piano player of the Year” and in 1992, he was also awarded “Entertainer of the Year” from the California Country Music Association. In recent years Kelly has performed in the band Pablo Cruise and recorded on “Back With A Vengeance”, the latest album from Stoneground.

Scott Rodell

Scott has been recording and performing music since he was 9 years of age. At the age of thirteen, he got his first taste of a large audience thus igniting his calling in life. By the age of nineteen Scott was sharing the stage with such acts as The Byrds, The Tubes, Al Cooper (Blood Sweat & Tears) and Peter Rivera (Rare Earth).

Moving to Hollywood, Scott pursued a musical education at the acclaimed Musicians Institute. During this time he worked countless sessions in major studios such as Paramount, Conway and Sonic. Commercial work brought Scott in contact with The Beach Boys, inviting him to perform with them and record his own original music at Al Jardine’s personal home studio. Mentored by the scoring engineer at Skywalker Ranch, Scott began sharpening his audio engineering skills as a record producer.

Drawing on his experience, Scott has taught music and recording for the City of Roseville, the Art Institute and up to 50 private students. Scott has partnered up with Kelly Jay Stephens on the music soundtrack for “Experience El Dorado”
